About
About Lacanian Online
Lacanian Online is not about predictions or easy answers. It is about mirrors, tools that reflect back to us the structures of desire, anxiety, and trauma that shape our lives. Drawing on Jacques Lacan’s psychoanalysis, the site explores how the Real, the Imaginary, and the Symbolic work through our everyday existence.
The project is curated by Dr. Max Segali, a writer, musician, scientist, and psychoanalytic thinker with international experience in research and engineering. More importantly, it is a space born from the necessity of working through a traumatic past and transforming it into something useful for others.
Here you will find essays, reflections, diagrams, and tests that do not promise cure, but offer orientation, mirrors that help you see your position in relation to desire, lack, and jouissance. The aim is not to erase suffering but to give it form, to turn it into a tool for change.
Mission
-
To build symbolic tools for those who, like me, come from trauma and seek a way to live differently.
-
To make Lacanian thought accessible without diluting its force.
-
To connect theory with lived experience, showing how psychoanalysis speaks to interviews, relationships, failures, and everyday anxieties.
-
To open a laboratory where philosophy, art, and psychoanalysis meet, and where lack itself can become creative.
Style
Alongside essays, Lacanian Online also offers poetic reflections and interactive tests. These are not diversions—they are experiments in language, metaphor, and the unconscious, which is where Lacanian thought lives.
A podcast is available in Spanish on Spotify and Apple.
